Wilson College Senior Chelsea Krebs Places Third in PA Academy of Science Research Presentation

Chelsea Krebs of Beaver Springs, PA, a senior majoring in biology at Wilson College, placed third for the oral presentation of her research project at the 89th Annual Meeting of the Pennsylvania Academy of Science, held April 5 to 7 at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.

She is the daughter of James and Denise Krebs. Her research presentation, entitled, "Comparative Analysis of Viability Assays for Evaluation of Post-Thaw Equine Spermatozoa," examines ways to improve breeding techniques used in the equine industry.

Oral presentations were assessed in categories for scientific merit – ranging from experimental methodologies to analysis of results – and presentation qualities, including visual impact and fielding of questions.
